Carmel Belle proudly sources its ingredients from farmers and purveyors that practice sustainability, and provide honest, high-quality products that taste really good. Our meats are hormone-free, grass-fed/free-range and humanely raised in California. Our produce is largely organic and purchased from local farmers’ markets, farmers, and/or distributors that support small farms. So please join us, and eat good food knowing that we would never serve you anything we wouldn’t serve to our own family.

My husband, Lokman, and I are the new owners of Carmel Belle. March 2020 was our first month and we are glad to be open! Like you, we have been adjusting COVID-19 realities. We hope to continuously provide you with delicious, healthy, affordable food, served in an absolutely safe manner.
We have been onsite at the restaurant everyday, taking precautions above and beyond the already high standards of an owner-operated eatery like Carmel Belle. Our restaurant is particularly well suited to meet current safety guidelines because of the outdoor seating patio and parklet, open-air, spacious interior of the Doud Studios (no door handle to touch!), curbside pickup on San Carlos St, a contactless payment system, local delivery via DoorDash, and menu favorites designed for takeout.
We have posted our Social Distancing Protocol in the restaurant. You can feel reassured by our open kitchen where one person prepares your order and a second person (almost always Lokman!) places it in your to-go bag. Our chef Erik has been at Carmel Belle for over a decade. He has amazed customers with his speed and received accolades from the health department for his kitchen standards. Speed and perfectionism make a great combo especially these days!
Even during these extraordinary circumstances, Lokman and I have enjoyed getting to know many of Carmel Belle’s regular customers. We have been heartened by your support and promise to do everything we can to continue to take care of you. You are more than our customers – you are our friends and neighbors. We will need each other to make it through this.
